YOUR FUTURE FANTASY LAB - FUTURE STORY EVENT DESIGN PROJECT | 未来幻想实验室 - 未来故事活动设计项目
This project was developed in response to a live brief for the Brand: Future Story elective, which challenged us to imagine a career that doesn't exist yet, one that could emerge by 2040 as a result of the rapid advancement of the Metaverse, XR technologies, and generative AI. The brief asked us to explore how young audiences, specifically Gen Alpha (ages 11–13), could be introduced to future careers that integrate these new technologies, fostering both creative exploration and practical skill-building.
My solution, Your Future Fantasy Lab, is an immersive workshop designed to give participants a hands-on experience in designing and shaping their virtual worlds and identities in the Metaverse. The core idea is to introduce Gen Alphato a speculative career: Personal Virtual Creator—a hybrid role combining elements of a designer, stylist, avatar creator, and virtual interior designer. This career would be empowered by AI tools that assist in streamlining creative processes, enabling young designers to build and experience fully realized avatars, homes, and digital spaces within the Metaverse. By merging creative design with emerging technologies like generative AI and XR, the project bridges the gap between imagination and the technological reality of 2040.
The project’s primary goal is to help young talents experience and prepare for this future career by providing them with technical support and early access to AI-oriented art and design education, fostering both creativity and practical skills. The workshop’s activities engage participants in a 360-degree learning experience, guiding them through the process of designing avatars, homes, and interior spaces. As they progress, they utilize generative AI tools to turn their sketches into interactive 3D versions of their creations, all while exploring mixed-reality (MR) technology via the Apple Vision Pro to experience their virtual worlds in full immersion.
Visually, the graphic branding for Your Future Fantasy Lab is rooted in the notion of "designing the future as a memory." The concept draws from both childlike creativity and futuristic digital tools. The identity merges the gridded logic of squared paper with the imaginative chaos of children’s sketches. Drawing inspiration from the motif of the time capsule, the logo combines two distinct typefaces: a bitmap font, representing the precision and structure of technology, and a playful balloon-like font, symbolizing the imagination and freedom of youth.
The color palette nods to both cyberpunk vibrancy and the rainbow aesthetic of kids' drawings, forming a visual language that is both fantastical and future-facing.The illustration style plays a key role in conveying the imaginative nature of the project. Combining flat vector line drawings with humanistic, hand-drawn touches, the visuals capture a childlike aesthetic that is both simple and expressive. The soft, rounded lines and bold, simple forms are a nod to both the whimsical aspects of childhood drawing and the clean lines of modern digital design, creating an inviting and engaging atmosphere for young audiences. Typography complements this playful yet futuristic approach, with SK Popuk and Tiposka fonts for display text, balancing whimsy with clarity, while Neue Machina serves as the text font, embodying the technological backbone of the project with its sleek, modern design.
These elements manifest in event signage, uniforms, interactive materials, and merchandise, ensuring that the visual identity resonates with a young, tech-savvy audience while maintaining a forward-thinking and engaging presence. The immersive workshop is divided into six stages, guiding participants from initial drawing to AI-powered transformation to the final MR experiences via Apple Vision Pro. The brand identity seamlessly connects both physical and digital realms, uniting the workshop’s tangible activities with its virtual outcome. A custom time capsule, combining digital profiles and physical keepsake pencil cases, anchors the experience as both a moment in time and a window into the future.
In essence, Your Future Fantasy Lab is a speculative exploration of how AI and XR technologies will shape future creative careers, offering Gen Alpha the opportunity to imagine and design their virtual identities. It’s a space where imagination, creativity, and technology come together to prepare the next generation for the careers of tomorrow, while also fostering a sense of ownership over their personal digital futures.

我的设计方案“未来幻想实验室”是一个沉浸式工作坊活动,旨在让参与者亲身体验如何在元宇宙中设计和塑造自己的虚拟世界和身份。核心思想是为Alpha世代介绍一个新兴职业(设想中的):个人虚拟定制师。这一未来职业结合了设计师、造型师、虚拟形象创作者和室内设计师等职业,通过AI工具来辅助简化创作过程,使设计师能够在元宇宙中为每个人个性化定制出完整的虚拟视觉识别系统用于在元宇宙中的第二人生,包括所有视觉形象、用品和数字空间等能看到的个人触点。
该项目的主要目标是帮助青年人才体验这一未来职业并为之做好准备,为他们提供技术支持,让他们尽早接受以人工智能为导向的艺术和设计教育,培养他们的创造力和实践技能。工作坊的活动通过全方位的学习体验,引导参与者进行个人虚拟形象、建筑和空间的设计。在过程中,参与者可以利用生成性AI工具将自己的草图转化为互动的3D版本,同时通过Apple Vision Pro探索混合现实(MR)技术,沉浸在虚拟世界中。
在视觉上,“未来幻想实验室”的品牌设计基于“将未来植入记忆”的概念,融合了新生创造力与未来主义的数字元素。品牌标识结合了方格纸的几何结构与儿童涂鸦的自由表现力。标志从时间胶囊的概念中汲取灵感,将两种不同的字体结合在一起:一种是位图字体,代表技术的精确性和未来性;另一种是俏皮的气球字体,象征孩童的想象力和自由。
色调既有赛博朋克的视觉冲击,又有儿童画彩虹般美感,形成了一种既奇幻又未来向的视觉语言。插图风格在传达项目的想象性方面起到了关键作用。通过将矢量线描与人文的手绘特征相结合,视觉风格展现了一种既简洁又富有表现力的童趣美感。柔和、圆润的线条和动态、简洁的形状既体现了青春的奇思妙想,又体现了现代数字设计的舒适,为年轻观众创造了一个引人入胜的沉浸氛围。版式设计也呼应了这种既玩味又未来的风格,SK Popuk和Tiposka字体侧重于文字的展示功能,兼具趣味性与辨识度,而Neue Machina字体则作为正文字体,体现项目的科技基础,展现了现代、可读的功能性。
统一的视觉语言同样被延展于整体的线下活动标示、制服、互动物料和周边中,确保视觉识别有效地吸引对未来科技感兴趣的年轻受众,同时保持前瞻性思维和吸引力。整个活动被分为六个阶段,参与者从初步绘图到AI驱动的创作转化,再到通过 Apple Vision Pro 实现最终的 MR 体验。品牌标识无缝连接了物理和数字领域,将工作坊的有形活动与虚拟成果结合在一起。定制的时间胶囊结合了数字档案和实物纪念笔袋,作为体验的锚点,既是一个时刻的记录,也是未来的一扇窗。
“未来幻想实验室”是对AI和XR技术如何塑造未来创意职业的设想探索,为Al pha世代提供了一个想象并设计他们虚拟身份的机会。这是一个将想象力、创造力与技术结合的空间,旨在为未来职业做好准备,同时培养他们对个人数字未来的主人翁意识。
